We like Pure because they ALWAYS have a good selection of  cardigans in stock and a great choice of colours. PLUS because they are made from wool, they actually keep you warm. So many cardigans don’t these days. Yet isn’t that suppose to be the point of a cardigan in the first place?

However I do have a bit of a whinge. Having bought quite a few cardigans from Pure in the past, the price of their cardigans have risen considerably.

They seem to send you a mini catalogue about once a month and I just wish they wouldn’t, I’m already a fan. Their cardigans are definitely good quality. I just wish they wouldn’t waste so much money on sending out these catalogues so often. It must cost a small fortune putting them together, what with staffing costs, publication and  postage etc. Why don’t they just keep the price of the cardigans DOWN instead. Because it is us, the customer that are paying for it indirectly.

On the plus side they do seem to have a lot of sales. So we suggest you keep an eye on the website, sometimes it’s as much as 70% off. If companies keep doing this, there will come a time when no-one will buy anything until there’s a sale on.

It’s time to shop smart, buy less and buy better. The cut and how the dress is made is very important. The cut should be in a classic style and the ideal length is just below the knee. That way it will always be timeless and never date. It should be finished to a good standard. Watch out for puckering, check that it has a decent hem and a long invisible zip so it’s easy to put on (and take off).
